The scholarship mentoring program pairs each scholarship recipient with a personal mentor. Each mentoring relationship is unique and customized to the needs of the mentee and mentor involved depending on their goals. The structured mentoring program lasts for one year beginning with the receipt of the scholarship award. There are typically two to three fun group events such as a luncheon, or most recently a session with a personal branding coach on fashion for the workplace. Some mentees and mentors continue to keep in touch for months or years after the first mentoring year.

Leading Bay Area finance leaders from Oracle, Salesforce, and Uber discussed how AI, machine learning, chatbots, and other emerging technologies are reshaping the finance function for our digital future. They spoke about automating high-volume, high-transaction processes such as procurement, expense processing, and accounts payable; as well as how these emerging technologies can augment the decision-making process in strategic finance processes such as planning, forecasting, and strategic modeling.
Read moreOn Friday, June 7, over 200 guests came together at the City Club to honor Financial Women San Francisco’s (FWSF) 2019 scholarship recipients. Since the scholarship program began over 30 years ago, FWSF has awarded over $2.5 million to over 300 deserving women. This year FWSF awarded $10,000 to seven undergraduates and $15,000 to six graduate students. In addition to the scholarship itself, each winner is paired with a mentor and receives a three-year FWSF membership.
