As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment that guarantees and protects women's constitutional right to vote, we not only have the opportunity to commemorate this incredible milestone at FWSF, but also to honor other milestones for women that it has since inspired and to consider its relevance to the issues of equal rights and gender parity today.

What inspires you about this year’s FWOTY? It is not only that Nancy has reached the highest levels of the field of Finance and has numerous positions and awards, quite literally excels at all she puts her mind to, but she is concerned about improving the welfare of society and the environment globally. Complacency has never been Nancy’s approach from her early days. Positive change happens because of people like her who think and act for the betterment of all.

Jennie Duong introduced the panel discussion, noting that the number of enterprise-level cyber-attacks on a global basis has risen exponentially in the past year; recent estimates put these numbers at more than 500 million worldwide. The sophistication of the attacks is very high and the techniques used are quite varied across email, social media, text, and websites.
